Quality control process: how we guarantee every PANTER Watch

Proceso de control de calidad: cómo garantizamos cada reloj PANTER Watch

Every PANTER Watch is a promise

When you purchase a PANTER Watch, you are not buying an off-the-shelf product. You are receiving a handcrafted piece that has undergone a thorough verification process, designed to ensure that every component functions precisely and that the aesthetics are impeccable. In this article, we will show you, step by step, how we do it.

1. Component selection and verification

Everything begins before assembly. Each component—movement, case, crystal, crown, bracelet, and dial—is individually inspected upon receipt. We verify:

  • Absence of scratches, burrs, or visible manufacturing defects.
  • Correct measurements and tolerances to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Authenticity and origin of the Seiko movement.
  • Quality of the finish: polished, brushed, or PVD depending on the model.

Only components that pass this initial screening proceed to the assembly phase.

2. Assembly in a controlled environment

Assembly is carried out in a dust-free space, with precision tools and under adequate lighting. Each step follows a defined protocol:

  • Installation of the movement in the case with the correct torques.
  • Placement of the crystal with a new sealing gasket on each unit.
  • Adjustment of the crown and tube to ensure water resistance.
  • Mounting of the bracelet with properly tensioned spring bars.

3. Water resistance testing

One of the critical aspects of any watch is its water resistance. We use pressure testing equipment to verify that each watch meets its declared ATM specification. The process includes:

  • Dry pressure test to detect leaks before contact with water.
  • Verification of the crown, crystal, and case back seals.
  • Recording of the result per unit.

If a unit fails this test, it is disassembled, leak points are identified, and corrected before proceeding.

4. Movement and precision verification

Once assembled, the watch is placed on a timegrapher—an instrument that measures the precision of the mechanical movement—to check:

  • Amplitude: power of the mainspring, which must be within the optimal range.
  • Daily rate: adjusted to be within Seiko standards (+/- 15 seconds/day under normal conditions).
  • Beat error: symmetry of the escapement's movement.

If the values are incorrect, the movement is regulated before proceeding.

5. Final aesthetic inspection

With the watch functioning correctly, we perform a complete visual inspection under a loupe and direct light to detect any imperfections:

  • Scratches on the case, crystal, or bracelet.
  • Correct alignment of the dial and indices.
  • Condition of the surface finish (polished vs. brushed).
  • Correct position of the logo and text on the dial and case back.

Any unit that fails this inspection is returned for correction.

6. Packaging and documentation

The final step before the watch reaches your hands is packaging. Each PANTER Watch is delivered:

  • In a premium presentation box protected with interior foam.
  • With a technical sheet of the model and specifications.
  • With basic use and maintenance instructions.
  • With a registered serial number for traceability.

Our guarantee: zero compromises on quality
